Turnkey e-commerce: what you actually need on day one
A working checkout, a way to fulfil, and a way to answer customers. Everything else can wait until you have orders.
The failure mode is building a store with forty features and no orders. Day one needs three things that work: a checkout that takes money, a process that gets the thing to the customer, and a way for them to reach you when it goes wrong.
Everything else — loyalty points, bundles, an app — is a decision you make later with real data instead of a guess.
The reason to be strict about this is not minimalism for its own sake. Every feature you ship on day one is a feature you have to keep working before you know whether anyone wanted it. Ship the three that take money, move the goods, and answer the customer; let the orders tell you what to build next.
